I was very proud to have won for the 2nd time, The Fuji Film Wedding Photographer of The Year 2001. This was in the days of film, but by late 2001, I’d made the switch to digital and a new era had begun! After a fab lunch at The Roof Gardens in Kensington and presentations by the Fuji top brass, it was down to the local pub for a reet booze up! As you can see by the pictures, I had more champagne over me, than inside me and my jacket was never the same fit again after dry cleaning! But as always, it was a great day out, especially to share with Karen and my photographer friends and runners up.
I came across these photo’s whilst sorting through filing cabinets the other day and can’t remember who sent them to me all those years ago. But, I’m sure I thanked the sender who has provided me with the prints (and comments) with some happy memories. Photo 1 is Graham Rutherford Fuji UK boss and me, caught just after he poured the champagne over the both of us. They were the days!
