Around one year ago, saw the completion of our Granny Annexe (garden chalet) by a company called – Granny Annexe! Here’s a link to our chalet on their website bit.ly/1SfwXF7 Work started on January 5th 2015, not the ideal time of year, but despite some rain, frost and a little snow, the weather was never as bad as it could have been. So, I thought it would be a good idea to cover the build process by shooting time-lapse, video and stills as well of course. For time-lapse the iPhone came into its own and using the ‘Lapse It’ App, (a tutorial coming to my YouTube channel soon) was a real boon! In early December I began documenting the process of clearing the ground at the rear of our garden, in readiness for the work to begin in the New Year.
It was amazing to witness just how quickly these buildings can go up, and as I work from home, it was easy to pop out, take a few snaps, leaving the iPhone precariously balanced on top of our shed or greenhouse to carry on lapsing! Using the SIPS technology of thermally efficient dense foam between the panels, we can vouch for just how warm the chalet is on the coldest of days.
So, granny is very happy and safer in her own home in the garden and from our perspective the building really blends into its surroundings too. bit.ly/1oWd5vw
